What is Online Learning?
Online Learning is a learning experience delivered via a computer and the internet. Sometimes students and instructors in different places are able to interact using two-way video and other technologies. Course work and collaboration is conducted through electronic forums, e-mail, chat rooms or discussion groups and other forums. Learning activities include group projects, pair work and online discussion and debate. The vehicle used for learning range from the latest internet-base technology to the postal service.
Are all Classes Available Online?
Online learning may vary from one institution to the next. Some institutions offer 100 percent online degree program with no on-campus attendance. Other institutions may offer some courses that are fully-online or a combination of online and on-campus attendance requirement, so before completing the application process, make sure you have a clear understanding about how your program is being delivered and would it be a problem if you had to attend class on-campus.
Fully-Online vs. Combination: Fully-online means that all courses are offered online through a computer and internet connection. You will not be required to attend any on-campus class. A combination of online and on-campus class means that there are times when you will have to physically attend a class on-campus and it is a requirement to earn a degree or certificate.
Will I be Required to Attend Campus?
Most online classes do not required on-campus attendance. Many online courses can be taken entirely from your home, however some institutions may require a minimal class attendance, so you want to check with the institute you plan to attend.

Choosing a learning method that fits your busy life is quite possible with online learning. If you are considering to pursue your degree but do not have the extra time to attend the traditional classroom setting, then online degree programs can offer the freedom and flexibility that allows you to continue working, and attend to family life, while earning your degree at the same time. Look for institutions that have been accredited by a regionally or nationally-recognized accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
